The location, the bed and the shower were great. It was a struggle to get a friendly smile from the reception staff. They tried to get us to use their secure undercover parking for $19 a day. We parked out in the street with no issues. We got a room with ocean view but without a balcony. Balcony would have been better as the windows were so dirty the view was ruined and they couldn't be opened. We had room 310, the bathroom was dated with the shower in the bath tub. The mirror was in bad shape with lots of staining behind it. The hand-towel holder fell off the wall on first use and the toilet seat was attached so crooked you half sat on the porcelain. There is no room service for fresh towels etc unless you stay for more than 7 nights. We stayed for 6 and had to ask for fresh towels after day 4. If you want your room fully serviced they charge extra. Last issue.....coffee cups. It's those tiny ones with the tiny handle you can't get a finger through. Be warned, BYO.

Poor Venue, needs a major overhaul to the site and staff. Poor wifi, poor lighting in rooms, no phone charging options, couldn’t control the AC so the room got cold at night. No room service after 5 nights, no spare towels available. For the price there are better options available.

Great position but rooms are dated. Widows dirty and fly screens green with algae. Room service once a week Old style air conditioning no temperature settings. Feral cats in car park with stench to go with it. Backwards facing rooms pub noise til 11 pm terrible. No restaurant or room service. $19 a day to park car. Staff were very helpful and pleasant.

Various issues with stay made for a very average experience. 1. Noise and loud music from Backpackers next door until 10pm every night bothered me, locals shouting / fighting with each other in carpark at rear of hotel most nights at any hour midnight to 4am. I was there for work stay 25 days leaving room at 6am daily. 2. I relocated rooms 3 times to get away from this noise problems. (Ocean view rooms put you at the front of the hotel / keeping you away from most of the noises) 3. Airconditioning temperature not controllable in any of the 3 rooms I was in, air Cond fan speed only controllable in either bedroom or living area, temp was adjusted by leaving outside / balcony door left open day and night. 4. Room age was very apparent with fixtures and Bathroom showing age. 5. Water leak in third room made carpet smell and "crunch" under feet. 6. On site restaurant was closed for my full stay and charge back to my room food was only available at Mantra in the city. 7. Onsite undercover parking available at a premium price with limited street and carpark spaces out the front of hotel. 8. Undercover parking has feral cats in it that defecate laving repugnant odor, hotel was attempting to capture them for relocation. On a positive note. Staff at both Hotels were very happy and helpful to deal with. Location was great with Massive public open space directly across the road and plenty of walking paths with fantastic sunset views across the ocean. Central location with Mitchelle street offering good food and drinking locations along it. Chemist, and both Coles and Woolworths are about walks 5 min away.

I just popped into Darwin for a fishing trip so I wanted a hotel close by. I had a room with a sea view and queen size bed. It was clean, comfortable and had everything that I needed. The hotel has a majestic look from the front but could use a new paint job and freshen up the decor. The colour scheme is from the 1980’s. It has so much potential! The receptionist was friendly and helpful. The swimming pool was nice after a hot day fishing. I would come back.
